For several reasons (the most exciting being that we are expecting a baby this summer!)), we decided Weaving Southwest needed to evolve. We recently move out of the space we have been in for the last two years. As of the beginning of February, we are happy to announce we are operating as a (almost) fully functioning internet and phone order business out of Arroyo Seco, NM! So, give us a call if you have any questions or would like to place an order… or you can place an order right here online!
We now have a perfect little (400 sq. ft.) Weaving Studio in downtown Taos that we will be teaching classes out of and using as a weaving studio to weave up our own designs.
If you would like to pick up your order or happen to be coming through Taos and want to sift through some baskets of yarn, give us a call and we can meet you at The Studio with whatever you would like! For more information on these changes, keep an eye on our Blog or our Facebook Page.
For the time being I will keep this up too: WEAVING SOUTHWEST is a tapestry gallery and a handweaving studio. We also manufacture and supply weaving and spinning equipment and hand-dyed yarns. The tapestry gallery, started in 1987, shows the work of many of the Southwest's preeminent contemporary tapestry artists. The handweaving studio produces rugs, blankets, and pillows on the premises. The supply business (also known as Rio Grande Weavers Supply), manufactures Rio Grande looms, spinning wheels and hand-dyed yarns for knitters and weavers.
