Seven Samuri

"For this weaving, I came up with designs that I cut sections off of as I wove them. I kept those sections so I could play around with those designs and put them together in different ways to come up with a new design for a tapestry. This weaving was basically strips that I had cut off from “Interrupted Symmetry.” I used only sparse parts of the design to come up with this pattern.
I should make it clear that I don’t cut the weavings. I cut strips of my Polaroid camera shots of the weaving and put them together in different ways, that is the way I come up with many of my designs." -RB
